Its suprising how many things we do only to find out later that they can't be done.

Ahhh, ignorance is bliss!!!

I actually moved all the snow with the bucket just up from level and pushed. Didn't dig into the drive or anything.

Its good to know I can't do those things now due to the tires, I'll have to stay inside next time and hope someone can rescue me. :p

Surprised that you are not stuck running those R4 tires. guess you did not know that you cannot use them in snow.

This is a joke right? I do quite well in the white stuff with (loaded) R4's on my L5740 here in upstate NY.

R4's in northeast Texas snow work too! My NH had its first FEL bucket of snow this last weekend. What a blast!

It looks as though you have a one top-notch copilot it'll be a great memory of helping dad clear the snow. Three years heavy snows upstate New York never a problem in snow just have a set of chains for the ice nothing goes on ice . Take care

Wow...wish I would have read this earlier. I would not have even started my tractor this morning.

I only have non-loaded turf tires on my bx,it does pretty well. I just have to be mindfull of what I am doing. I am one of those that has to plow backwards with grading blade on 3pt hitch. I also keep blade so the convex surface is pushing snow to minimize digging up too much gravel. I suppose my biggest advantage is that I still have loader on front to lift loads of snow up and over previous snow and get it out of the way.
I have been looking for a set of extra rims for my machine to mount AG tires(R4?), I have a great friend that has a brand new set I can have for no $. I thought that they would be better in the winter for snow work........am I wrong?

This is just my experience with tires. Others may have different opinions.

Turf - Best in hard pack snow / ice due to many biting edges at the turface of the tire tread. Not great in really deep snow where the lugs aren't big enough to dig in.

R-4 - Great driving through heavy wet snow as long as there is enough contact pressure for the lugs to sink in. Poor on ice or very hard packed snow that is a little wet.

Ags- no experience, I would guess they are like R4's with better contact pressure so they could go in slightly harder packed snow.

I've been doing a little tire cutting on my R-4s to try to get the best of both worlds R-4 and Turf, in one tire.

I guess I will need to get rid of my B3200 with R-4 tires (loaded rears). I didn't know that it couldn't get around in the snow so I have a blower on the back and the FEL on the front and have been dealing with the snow here in the mountains of North Idaho for a couple of years. I haven't had any problems, but then I didn't know that I couldn't get around in the snow!

Honestly though the B3200 with R-4s does much better than my B7100 did with R-1s. (I think part of the problem was that the rubber was old and hard in the AG's)

will have to put in some seat time tonight as it is 17F and snowing today with up to a foot expected by tonight.
