Greetings Fellas:

Currently I'm looking for a used 2005 Toolcat C series, primarily because they're in the $20,000 range - I don't want to spend $55,000 for a new G series, period. I'm hoping to find one with less than 1500 hours.

In looking at the snowblower attachments on the Bobcat website, they list ones for the G series. Can I still get one for a C series or do I have to modify the C series to use the newer blower attachment?

thanks in advance,

Tim

I use a bobcat snow blower with my "A" unit. As stated above you will need to match the gpm of your unit with the snowblower. My gpm is low compared to the later series (approx 16-18 gpm) so I was set up with a low flow high torque motor to avoid stalling the snowblower impeller.

If you are buying bobcat then talk with your dealer for more details. If you are buying third party then ask lots of questions about the setup of the snowblower motor.

Best of luck. Let us know what you decide to get.

Thanks for the input - I was concerned about the attachment method. So the quick attach feature is the same for all series?

Yep, the same and for most skid steers and compact telehandlers.

I have a 'D' Series with a 72" Bobcat snowblower on my Toolcat. You should know that besides a variety of widths, they also offer the snowblower with two motor options. A lower torque, but higher speed fan that blows the snow further but doesn't have the torque to really dig into wet, heavy snow quickly. It will work in heavy snow, but you will be going slower and not throwing the snow as far. The high torque motor package will chew thru about anything but doesn't throw the snow nearly as far. Determine how far you need to throw your snow and the type of snow you typically have and pick the motor package that best meets your needs.
