I just attached a BX2750 snowblower to my BX25. I noticed that the skid plates were up off the ground. With the bottom blade resting on the ground will it damage or mark concrete or asphalt?
You will certainly wear your edge bar on the blower. You should adjust the skid plates so that edge bar is a bit above the surface you are blowing. When it snows, ice etc will also lift the blower above that point. I replaced my skid plates with wheels to get around the marking issue.
Don't forget that the length of your top link will also have an effect on the height and angle of your cutting edge. Once I got the skids adjusted where I like them and fine tuned the top link, I measured the length of the top link and wrote it on the side of the blower with a sharpie marker. This way I can set everything up instantly whenever I change out implements. Hook it up and use a tape measure to match the top link to the number on the blower. No more messing around.
