merrickvilleguy,
PTO blowers are the nuts, I've had front ones and rear ones, great way to move lots of snow. Never seem to bog with diesel engines, only time at least for me is when I had a 72" Lorenz on back of a Oliver Super 55. Lots of snow and huge drifts, boged a little but after all it was a gas engine.Diesels with front or rear blowers is the best.

barn.jpgCrazyal,
thanks, it does look like it has a twin, I like yours, mine has a second floor with a 9' ceiling, lots of storage space. Only thing I would have done different would be what you did and have an oversize door on one side.

I debated doing a prow on the front like you have but didn't want to spend the time while roofing (had rain moving in). If I had I think I would have put a sliding door in below it for the second floor. Would have been nice for lifting things up to the second floor. Instead it's framed in for two windows that'll put in next year.

I have a steel I-beam going front to back so there's no interior posts. I wanted plenty of clearance under the I-beam so I put the second floor at 11' but I still have 8' of headroom up there. I bet a spent 3 or 4 days driving around looking at barns, garages, and houses looking for ideas.

Taken the first week in Feb ,by that time I'm guessing we had appx 150" of snow. I'm thinking I blew the front yard out 4 times last winter.
2 photos from the church parking lot on the same day , We had another 50-70" before we were done for the winter..Most of the time we only get about 150" for the winter.
Thankfully March wasn't that bad our we would have had a lot lot more. !

Here is mine, assuming I get my tractor's busted starter fixed. This will be the first year for my Econor (as me as owner, anyway) - 1100 feet of drive to tackle...

I bet you have one heck of a crick in your neck when that job is done  Ive seen alot of rear mounts and alot of loader mounted snow blowers which style is best or are they all about the same. Didnt know it there was less traction one way or another.

I never get to photo my JD 3320 tractor snowblowing...in that I am inside the cab at the time....quite an improvement over my JD 850 w/o any cab. This is the meteor about one year ago...one nice thing about black...its easy to find touch up paint
