When attaching rear snowblower how should the skid shoes b on the ground or a little off ground? Also I assume it must b level

What type of surface are you blowing? If its gravel you need to have the skid shoes set so that the scraper edge off the ground enough so that you don't pickup stones. Pavement you can have the scraper right to the ground. Hope this helps ya out. I have mine set to be 1/2 -1" off the ground for my gravel driveway.

Yes you want it setting level. The ski shoe heighth varys. If you have a gravel drive you will want the cutting edge off the ground so you are not throwing rocks. Put the blower on the tractor and try dropping the blower in different places (prefeeably in uneven spots)and get off the tractor to see if cutting edge will touch the ground, if it does raise it a notch.

Some people say, once ground is frozen, you can take skids off. I'm ready.
