Snowblower

I happened across a snowblower that came off a JD750. I asked the seller and my dealer and they don't think it can be put on my 4410. They seemed to think it was only for the 50 series. It looks a lot like the 59 in. one for the 55 and 4000 series.

My dealer says he has one off a 55 series he would sell me but I would have about $800 in attaching parts regardless. He says he has no kits listed to attach a 50 series to the 4000. I think I have my answer but just wanted to see if anyone thought otherwise.

The only info on the JD WEB site I can find is on the model for the 55 and 4000 series. I can't even find any attachments listed for the 50 series.

I rather doubt Deere would want to encourage adapting old attachments to their new model tractors, as their best business interest would be selling new attachments for new model tractors. The expense of design and marketing and inventory would far outweigh any income recovery.

So, it leaves you with designing your own attachment to make it work, and that should be a possibility. If you have the mid PTO, you could get the JD4410 quick attachment which I would expect includes the PTO shaft that goes with your tractor, and then modify the 650 blower to attach to it. Checking out the rpm of the 650 and the 4410 mid PTO to see that there is a match would be important. After you get it designed, then fabricating would be the next task. If you enjoy doing these things, it should be a fun thing to do. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif If not /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif, I would look for a snowblower for the 4410.

I designed and had fabricated a quick hitch to take a 7' Western snow blade for the front of my Deere 4300. It works great! (search 'front snowplow', and you can likely find a picture on about Jan '02).
