I have been a snowmobiler for almost 30 years. Ive had 14 new ones and countless used machines. here is my current ride, a clapped out 95 550 prowler, bought for $800. I live near Buffalo, but we get very little white stuff.

First thing you gotta do, is get the right color. I guess the color you have is alright for someplace that doesn't get much snow. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

We bought a new 570 Cat tourer just before we were transferred from Alberta to Michigan and we were real excited about the 2800 miles of groomed trails ....
Well, that was 3+ years ago and I don't have 50 miles on the machine yet. I guess the Michigan definition of snow and the Alberta definition aren't the same.
I consider snow as something covering the ground to the point where you don't see dirt anymore.
This year, I will ignore southern (as in "upper lower peninsula) trails and drag the sled up to the U.P. ... and see if the legendary Lake Superior snow actually exists.
Weather "experts" here are predicting a mild, low snow El Nino winter .... sigh.

I started a little earlier ... '72 Olympique 300, '73 Skandic 440 and '74 Elan 320.
Went to the Cat because it seemed to be the most comfortable of the touring machine (I let the wife choose). First new snowmobile I've bought ... still haven't found top end on it, and it's cherry so far. I'd love to try it on that high arctic snow I started out on ....

No, it ain't gonna snow, because I bought an old plow for my tractor. I could effectively prevent it from snowing for 10 years, if I bought a new sled.

We've thought about advertising to go camping in drought areas, too. We haven't been this year around the Northeast.......see?
