Working from 7 AM to 9 PM 7 days a week is starting to get a little stale, but we do see a light at the end of the tunnel at this point.

Hope you and your family also have a GOOD THANKSGIVING Scott.

20+ years ago I had an A for a firewood business. When purchased it had a cultivator with a pnuematic cylinder that use the exhaust for lift. It was about 8" diameter & about the same stroke.
Like this: eBay Sold the cultivator & hoist mechanism without ever using it. Belived it to be genuine Farmall parts. You could also make up a small pto driven hydraulic system with an accumulator since you don't have live hydraulics/pto. As is - very nice workmanship. MikeD74T

Mornin Mike,
Yep, those old exhaust cylinder lifts were the ticket before they came out with the hydraulic units on the Super A. There is a guy over on the YT site that rebuilds those units and swears by them :)

This past weekend I mounted the foward frame on the Super A and clamped the ears on the rear frame and transfer punched the hole locations onto the ears. I will be posting some more pics today or tommorrow and welding the ears onto the rear frame.

Mornin Guys,
This is a picture of me clamping the ears onto the rear frame and transfer punching the the ears through the front frame.

BTW, sorry about the date  I really need to fix that :) I hope to get the ears welded onto the rear frame today and finish weld the end pieces because they are only tacked into position now.

Mornin Guys,
I finally got the ears welded in position on the rear frame.

I should have tacked them first and checked the alignment between the frames, but I was in a hurry :( Yep, you guessed it , slight alignment problem so I had to bring the frame back in and trim the ears on the miller. I think I have it right now.

I had to make the bar that goes from the touch control rockshaft to the lifting frame on the plow. I will post those photos later. Its gonna be so nice moving that little lever rather than raising that big heavy blade by hand ! :)

Afternoon Guys,
Well I got it all hooked up but Im only getting about 5" of blade lift. Im going to need to change some of the lift geometry around to get a few more inches of lift. At least its close to being ready! :)

The rear frame needs to be painted and the long control rod also. The white framed part on the front side of the tractor was part of the original hardware on the Cub blade. Thats about the only part other than the blade itself, which we made 14" bigger.

Anyway its working, but needs some fine tuning ! :) The pic is kind of dark so this weekend I will try and get a better one.

Nice job and apparently well planned. I have a cub lo boy with a factory front blade with a similar mount. With turf tires needless to say it doesn't plow snow well. I did back fill my basement with it. Took some time and the hydraulic lift was a back saver. These small IHCs are great tractors and priced right. It may be a well kept secret.

Afternoon Guys,
OK I think Im getting closer to the final product. The arrangement in the last pic posted wouldnt let me angle the plow   so we had to make some improvments. I also wasnt getting very much lift on the blade off the ground. I needed to change the pivot location and I think I almost have it correct now.

The first pic is the new pivot frame I fabricated. Second pic and the others are me mounting it on the tractor and getting my measurements. As you can see the lifting rod that goes from the touch control arm to the plow needs to be shortened. Im working on that now. So we will test it out tonight.
