It looks like there would be quite a bit of force applied to the receiver hitch if one end of the blade snagged something............chim

Theres a 6 inch? i think.... heavy duty rubber edge on the blade, it just curls back when hit..

Also, watch the video, it rises over the object due to the sliding up motion of the blade on the mounted rails.

I may need to make one for the FEL!

Just wonder how that would work w/a little re vamping to fit 3 point hitch...like the side boots idea.

but I can buy a medium duty rear blade for less than half that price. I'm not sure why I'd want to mount it to my tractor....

Looks more like a cheap auxiliary bumper for a woman driver.
OK, maybe it would make a nice pusher for a Zamboni assist tractor on a large ice rink, or come in handy for pushing leaves off the driveway, but that thing would be useless on more than an inch of snow on pavement.
The good thing about it, when it brakes off, it probably won't do much damage to the truck as you drive over it.
The thing should be for sale in the Northern Hydraulics catalog soon.

Obviously you have never seen one in action or tried one yourself.

DR Trimmer catalog sells something similar and honestly it works ok on our 1/2 mile dirt driveway here in western PA where we can get a few inches to a couple of feet of snow at a time. It isn't perfect for sure, but for what it is, it does ok. If you have a long, flat, solid area to plow then I think it would work just fine.

Dead thread for almost 14 years... so old the link to whatever it was about doesn't even work...

Reminds me of a Randy Travis song, something about Diggin Up Bones... *grin*
