I use chains. One on each corner, and one for each attachment.

Perfect example. If one fails, 3 are holding.

Someone on this forum said to bind them up so if the trailer is upside down the trailer wouldn't move around. It would almost have to be chains if that is the case.

(5) or (6) chains, with lever-type "over-center" load binders:



This is for a 1,400 lb tractor.


By the way, I have noted that some government agencies prohibit the use of "lever type" load binders on their own vehicles.
