My dealer sells Mahindra also and unfortunately there is always more of them in the shop than New Holland's and every one of them is split in half. I asked the shop manager about this one day (before i traded my first Workmaster )and he said there is a certain size/series of the mahindra that no matter new or used it's coming back in the shop for the same problem, It's just a matter of time. Now i didn't look too closely at the particular numbers on the machines but it looks like a sea of red and blue when your looking down the line from the office. At least they were all bigger than your's if that helps...I even had one of the truck drivers tell me he hate's to deliver these particular units out because he is going to be picking it up eventually and most likely sooner than later. At least with my New Holland they do not feel this way about it.... and Mahindra may have fixed this problem by now during assembly as i spent a lot of time at the dealers shop last year and not too much this year. And if you are wondering this dealer sells more New Holland's than Mahindra around here so it's not just a quantity problem.

Bathtub curve - typical product reliability based on large samples. VEHR is Very Early Hour Reliability which is a measure of build quality - loose and leaks primarily. Next comes useful life with some random failures - material flaws, etc. at the end failure rate starts to climb at the end of useful life. At the start I wouldn’t be concerned about having to tighten a hose but computer problems and other things that shut you down shouldn’t happen. Even loose and leaks - my last product line was about 4,000 annual sales and if the VEHR rate reached 1 in 10 machines having a loose bolt or leaking hydraulic fitting the assemblers started getting hit in the pocketbook. If the company from whom you buy sends surveys, respond and be tough. If you really feel you have a lemon go right to the top. I worked for 3 very large manufacturers. None of their CEO’s liked getting a customer complaint - it meant the customer was really upset and s*** flows downhill. You do not want a memo from the CEO saying you will make sure this customer is satisfied or your replacement will.

Man I really hate to hear you're having trouble again, really stinks! I think it's mostly a QC issue honestly. My NH WM 60 has for the most part been trouble free. I had that throttle issue sticking at 1500 rpm's twice in the first part of its life but since, it's never reoccurred. Kinda like my tractor was complaining about having to work but then figured out this is life and went along with it. Lol. I love mine, but if I start having consistent issues I'll unload it & have to eat the new purchase loss and move on. At least it sounds like the issues are not reoccurring and your dealer is getting the kinks worked out though.
If it means anything, my dealer said the T4 75 was the same way when it first came out. Had some localized issues they had them coming back for and after that tractors were great. Finally NH caught up and dealt with it in house. He said the problem is like mentioned above, alot of manufactures are building them on computers without real world field testing first like the old JD's use to be. Good luck

MHarryE wrote a great post there!

I have a washing machine that I got MANY years ago (24?) which had numerous issues early on. Had I decided to ditch it I'd probably have gone through multiple machines by now. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

My Kioti is now at the dealer's for the FOURTH time in less than 2 years. It took them two tries to seal up the cab following initial delivery: they also replaced the loader at that time as I noted that it was crooked. A little less than a year ago the rear axle was leaking. Now it's there because the other side of the rear axle is leaking (and they preemptively had resealed it last year!). The left side cab door has become really tough to latch (not an issue with the latch but with the glass seemingly now distorted and causing a binding at the hinge end). Travel pedal, forward, is now sticking: actuator arm appears to have a slight curve in it- it had the slightest of hitches from day one and I thought that it would just loosen up. I recently replaced one of the loader joystick cables after it had broke: easier and quicker for me to replace than to haul the tractor in- I saved the factory some $$ (no parts cost per warranty)! I see most of this being issues of falling on the left side of the statistical curve. Up until the axle leak(s), and the door, one could chalk this up to minor factory/dealer prep issues.

Sucks to have these things running around in your brain. For me, only the broken joystick cable has caused the tractor to be mostly unusable: I'm fortunate in that I have another tractor (B7800).

Thanks BMan2005, you know the thing is, I like the tractor! I mean i just got done raking and baling hay for 4 days and the thing performed great. I guess its like some one once said when it works. DieselBound I hate to hear you are having issues as well. like i say i think it just depends on what day of the week these things are put together.
