You think? The picture might be deceiving, but at level, that hitch looks 12-14" higher than my ATV hitch. Didn't you add a 12" riser? If that works, heck yes that would be the easiest.
If you have too severe an angle off level when the splitter is hitched, when you cross a ditch you will put the hitch in a bind. You might have to traverse those on a diagonal. For safety sake, add some chains. My luck that hitch would pop off and spear me in the back. Be safe!
