So many tractors!!! What about Wheelhorse?

Hi, I cannot believe how many makes there are! I have one that I haven't seen here. Is a 1973 Wheelhorse with an 18HP Kohler gas engine, front end loader, 3-PT. hitch, wheel weights, weight box, chains and hydro for $2800.00 any good or a good deal? The picture shows the rig to be about the size of the Mahindra 2015 minus the 4WD and modern amenities but also without the price tag. I plan to use whatever I get to build and maintain motocross tracks and keep our snowmobile trails open as well as build new ones.

Any opinions/experiences/complaints and comments are greatly appreciated. I'd like to move fast if you all think this is a good buy.

I suspect getting parts for a '73 WheelHorse would be a bit of a pain, and most difficult at best.

In their day, they were a good outfit. But they have been taken over and are not the same under Toro. Whereas I think it may be a good tractor, I don't think I would invest my money in it.

Previously you said you would fill out your bio (??). Have you started a business yet? If so, business deductions for tax purposes should not force you to getting such old equipment that you will have to spend important time fixing things (there is enough 'fixing' on new equipment /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ).

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, my intended business partner backed out so whatever I buy is just to play with on the trails and around the house. That is why I cannot look at my dream machines anymore...bummer.
