So what is the deal ??

A year and a half ago I was looking to buy a new cabbed tractor with a trade in of two older tractors and called our local JD, Kubota and New Holland dealerships. The first two said load your old tractors on your trailer and bring them by for a trade in estimate which would have been two separate trips for me and many miles. I was already leaning towards a New Holland and when I called the dealership the salesman said he already had a customer scheduled before lunch but would drive the 25 miles after lunch to see my two trade in units. I have bought two tractors from that dealership and two trailers since that time. When I walk in they really pay attention to me and their other customers I have seen on my visits. it is refreshing to go to a business where they make you feel they really want your business. This is the Washington County Tractor dealership at their Sealy, Texas location.

When I was doing my shopping most dealers offered to stay late to give me the time needed to get there. A simple phone call was all it took to arrange a set time to be there.

If you were tractor shopping in WI . . I'd have a dealer option for you.

They sell Kubota and Massey Ferguson and they have each of their models either outside on the lot or inside (about 10 kubota midels and about 7 Massey ones inside).

They are open till 7 at night during the week and all day Saturday till 5 and noon till 5 on Sundays.

Talking about the guys over in Sauk by any chance? cause thats where I also am looking....

If you are talking to Chuck or Dan . . tell em Axle said "they are the guys to go to".

And say hi to Kim for me if you're needing any financing.

:) :)

Say what you will about the state of our union, but this sentence alone makes it entirely bearable to live in :)

Man when you isolate that sentence it really jumps out. But yeah, gun show in the morning, tractor dealers in the afternoon, pretty good day unless you were my bank account.

When I was looking at tractors about 5 years ago, narrowed it down to the Kioti CK20 or Bobcat CT-122 (same tractor).
Anyhow Bobcat was running a special on the CT122 (With FEL and R4 tires), placed my order in November and they said 1-2 weeks.
They also said they could not fill the tires or weld bucket hooks on.
Mind you they had 3 locations and I was drooling over the tractors at their other location.
Well 1 month later still no tractor, I said I need it before the close of the year, They called in Jan and said it was all ready, and I noticed it had turf tires.
I reminded them that it was suppose to have R4's.
Salesman called the next day and said the R4 would be an additional 1400.00 for the 4 tires and rims???
Called Wallace Tractor and drove 5 hours each way to pick up a CK20.
Rick Wallace threw in welded on bucket hooks, filled the tires, and light duty pallet forks for the same price as the Bobcat on sale.

My Father & I were tractor shopping about this time last year. Once we narrowed the field and started test driving; he didn't want to go anywhere without me and I'm in the same boat as you. I work 0700-1600 M-F and all the "local" tractor dealerships are an hour or better drive time away from my office so no lunch runs & after work was out.

I did the bulk of our shopping & pricing by phone. I talked to dealers in TN, WV, NC, as well as the closer to home guys. Got my best price quote over the phone on a Friday, Drove down to see it on Saturday (it was still in the crate so we test drove a slightly smaller unit) negotiated an even lower price that included Filled tires and delivery over 100 mi away.

It actually saved us from extra running around looking at stuff that ended up being out of our budget range.

As for pricing - I'm sure I'll have to eat these parts of my words but.. I don't recall anyone having prices on their web site. *MAYBE* MSRP which is about one step away from useless but that's it.

I'm guessing that is beyond what you're looking for either in size or price (or both). Did you ask the dealer about the option of a smaller cab unit (without A/C) and having them install an aftermarket A/C unit?

If you decide to put Kioti back on the list, PM me and I'll give you the info for the dealer we went with. He's closer to you than us (by google maps anyway) as was super easy to work with.

Good Luck in your search.

Could you provide me with your research information? How do you like the Kioti? Been loooking for a while.
