First, I got a new seat for my backhoe.

The old one had a couple of rips, which I had repaired with black Gorilla Tape. The new one is a "High Back Lawn Tractor Seat" from Tractor Supply. It's a better seat than the original, but a tad bigger. When I mounted it in what looked like the same position as the old one, it felt like I was pushed (by the thicker cushion) a little farther toward the hoe. I moved it back one space (about 1.5 inch) and it sits comfy, but now I fear it will be too close to the tractor seat. (The backhoe is now sitting on dollies in the garage.) On the seat side, there is another pair of holes that would get me halfway between. Using them, I don't line up with holes for bolts 3 and 4. However, I can drill two more holes in the plate on the backhoe and that set will work. I think I think I will do that.
Second, I got a $50 gift card to Tractor Supply. I haven't decided what I will use it for, but there's lots of possibilities.
Third, I got a John Deere sweatshirt.

Just the thing for those cool days.
Here, in my part of Maine, we got enough snow to look pretty, but not enough to need plowing - just right!
Merry Christmas to all!
