So...What\'s next?
Since my tractor has been down, so many projects have been put on hold or newly added. Not sure which way to turn now that it is fixed. That's right, finally fixed. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The ring and pinion, (new one) has been replaced by a local mechanic. The journey has been long and very much a learning process. I would like to thank everyone who offered me advice and or encouragement. Especially buck, davestractor, tractorernie and lens12. They helped me to find a part and offered words of "wise tractor dudes". If you are in the market for a tractor I would look to one of these guys first.
While I was waiting for the part I added and repaired some other things that were needed or would be soon. The fenders and footrests were starting to rust so repainted them. Added a 3pt hitch and trailer hitch receiver. Replaced the seat. Also replaced the idiot lights with guages. And best of all installed a FEL. I found a great bargin on some implements. Bought a International 4ft blade, Howse 4ft rotary cutter, 10in moldboard plow and cultivator all for $250. They don't look like much, had been sitting for several years, but work great. And for me, Just what I needed!
The last couple of weeks I have been clearing some undergrowth in a pine grove next to my house. And everything is still working. Oh, did have to replace the idler pulley. But it sure has been fun and what a machine! Really impressed with the Yanmar. Engine, tranny and everything in between.
So......What's next? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
