I went by my dealer a couple of days ago, and since he knew I was interested in the information on the new BX's (since he copied the prototype brouchure for me), he says, "I have something for you", and he gave me the real sales brouchure for the new BX models, I guess he just received them. I looked it over and found that there are some changes in it from the prototype brouchure and I thought I would pass them along.
Most items are the same, but the differences are:
1. The 40A alternator is an option, not standard.
2. Breakout Force (500mm fwd.) for LA240/LA243 is 992lbs or about 42lbs more.
3. Lift Force (500mm fwd.) for LA240/LA243 is 518lbs
Changes from BX2230/BX23 to BX2350/BX24 are as follows:
1. Easy Read Instrument Panel and one switch for lights and hazards. Adds a digital tach in the dash also that doubles as an hour meter.
2. Seat belt is mounted on the seat now instead of the tractor, (Doesn't squish you when you bounce).
3. Platform is a couple of inches longer and wider.
4. HST pedal is different, (the hinge is under the floor board now instead of above it)
5. Cruise control for BX2350 and BX24 and its on the dash where the hood latch used to be.
6. DC socket under your right leg.
7. Using D902 engine so you get 23 HP now.
8. Quarter-inching valvue on 3pt.
9. Halogen Headlights.
10. The Front Implement 4 position control valve is now inside the dash and the lever is the only thing that sits out, the valve does not come with the loader anymore, its standard equipment.
11. Appears that there is 6.2 gal/min Hydraulic flow now, but same pressure 1778lbs/in.
12. Industrial tire option for the BX2350/BX24. BX24 does not have Bar tire option anymore.
13. Differential lock lever is under left heel.
14. A redesigned hood made of resin that is more slanted, I noticed in a picture with the hood up that the air cleaner is in a different location now, it mounts right onto the radiator right above the fan.
Changes to mower:
Now there is a deep deck mower that is 5" deep, it states that it cuts nicer and mulches nicer now.
Changes to Loader:
1. 58lbs more lift
2. 42lbs more breakout force
3. Rounded design
4. H shaped stand for Attach/Detach
5. Loader mounts to frame are much lower which puts connectors much lower also.
6. Brush guard option for BX2350 and BX24 and design is a little different.
7. It appears bucket capacity is slightly less 4.9 vs 5.0 cu/ft and the bucket is still 48"
Changes to Backhoe:
1. Angle of departure is 2deg more to 20deg
2. Curved boom on backhoe
3. Levers have boots at the bottom of them now
4. Hoses are routed through the boom now, much nicer routing.
5. More legroom on platform.
All other specs of the backhoe have not changed, or if they are different its very little.
Those are the changes, I noticed that the loader lever was longer, but that is because the valve is in the dash now and it put the lever closer to the dash, the lever actually ends up in the same place.
A lot of nice cosmetic changes, now that I have had a change to really look them over. I think they made some nice minor improvements, but I don't think I will run out and trade up as soon as they are available.
If you want to look at the brouchure, pm me and I can send you a PDF, its about 5MB.
