The old Chinese grandpa, apparently had to travel to get the lumber for this folding table he crafted out of a single piece of wood. It is beautiful.
All true artwork is just a mystery to me. I can craft things in a mechanical and scientific way, but no one would ever call me an artist.

Patience, self-discipline (along with having the pride/self-respect to do a proper job), an understanding of the fundamentals and time --- all the key components to doing quality work (no matter what tools are used, or what field of work).
....watching it reminded me of seeing some of the things my own grandfather made when he was still working as a (master) carpenter and watching him work on my parent's house --- as well as the work of one of my uncles (son of the previously mentioned grandfather) has done.
So I may need to watch a few more videos to see what other project ideas I can glean for when I retire from engineering in 19-ish years....![]()

Have you ever used one of those old bow saws? Not that easy to control. This guy is a true master.
