Socket size for GMC distributor cap???

I searched everywhere and couldn't find an answer. I need to change the distributor cap and rotor on my 95 GMC Topkick with a 6.0 litre engine. It's in between 3/16" and 1/4" so I'm guessing a 7/32" but could be metric as well. I'm hoping someone on here will know for sure what size of socket or nut driver to get.

I'd say get a cheap set of metric nut drivers...Probably less than $20...I think its around 8mm but not 100% sure.

7/32 or 5.5mm. Get a six point cause if you round one of those off your vocabulary will expand with a plethora of new four letter word combinations

Thanks, I thought it might be 7/32" or metric equivalent. 8mm is way to big, that's 5/16". Why didn't they just make it a more common 1/4"? The new would work with a Phillips screw driver but the one that's on there a Phillips is useless.
