Sod roller attachment

I'm looking for a sod roller attachment similar to this one. I'll need to have it within about 10 days to roll out 30,000 sq ft of sod. I had borrowed one from one of the sod farms, and it was made to attach to a front end loader or a 3 point hitch.

I've found one on Ebay, but was wondering if anyone had a different source for one of these?




Here is the one on Ebay, and it does not have the 3 point hitch capability.

Anytime I've needed one the sod supplier supplied it for a small deposit. I'm not sure where to buy one , but any welder can easily fabricate one.

Based on the price of this I say show the picture to a welder

I contacted the sod farm that had loaned me one, and they said they do sell them. The salesman is out until Monday, and he will call me back then.

And it looks like I may be getting the sod from this same farm anyway, so I'll just have them deliver one when they bring the first load of sod.

I made one using my block forks and a bale spear.

Xfaxman, yours looks simple and easy, but I don't think it would work in my situation. Having to clamp the bale spear for each roll will take too much time.

We roll about 40-50 rolls out in a day. I keep one person at the stack of rolls and their only job is to take the bar off and remove the core, then place the bar into a new roll so I can hook it with the loader.
