I am getting ready to sod my lacrosse/ soccer fields and was wondering if my jd 3320 ehydro will pick up the sod rolls easily. The sod rolls are 1000 lbs and come with a toolbar for 3 point mounting. I'm pretty sure the 1000 lbs includes the toolbar.

Thanks for your help

Welcome to TBN, scotty.

If you're transporting the rolls on your 3pt, you shouldn't have any problems lifting 1,000lbs. However, if you don't have a front loader or front weights; you might find that the front end of your tractor could "wander" a bit when turning, etc.

And you'll need to be extra careful when navigating a grade or hills.

No problems either way if you've got a front end loader. 'Course if you're in a hurry - you could pick up a roll with your loader and another roll on the 3pt.

Thanks a lot. I do have a 300 loader and I also have several large landscape stones I will counter with. The sod farm will transport the rolls to the fields so all I will need to do is pick them up a few inches and roll them out.
