Software updates.

Curious to know how many of you out there with G series or newer machines that are having there software updated at least once a year. Is anyone with Bobcat attachments having there smart tach,s updated? (ACD controler on attachment)

I guess no one has there software updated periodically.Too bad. You may be missing something if you don't. How many out there have heard of "lift and tilt response" or" Drive response" These are handy software upgrades for ACS and SJC/AWS machines that make operating your machine a little nicer. How about a maintenance clock? A really nice feature that lets you know its time for service. How about those quirky little problems you've been living with like the glow plugs not staying on long enough or the engine cranking but stoping just as the engine is starting and failing to catch.All are software upgrades or fixes.

There are positive and negative points to both mechanical and fly by wire machines. You would love to have a ACS SJC/AWS machine after a long day of heaving those levers back and forth and stomping on pedals till your arms and legs feel like there going to fall off. On the other hand with mechanical controls you don't have to worry about having to replace a $500 lift actuator or a $700 Bobcat controler.

All newer G series SSL's and Toolcats that have ACS or SJC/AWS. I started this thread to let owners of these types of machines that there are fixes and upgrades that they may not be aware of.
