These really only work with the frame they came with, can't just bolt the planter unit on anything - you need all the driving mechinisms...

The same as with the jd 290 planter I had but it was a generation earlier, bought it from a neighbor for $100, the fertilzer system was rotted out but it planted seeds fine, it had row spacers that would drop or raise as you turned the tractor and the shoes raised and dropped with pull of the rope via ground wheel powered cam mechanism.
