Good,

Nice tractor.

If you need to do serious digging, Go with some bucket Weld up Mods.
I have two cutting edges. One has teeth the other is just the edge.

IMHO the best teeth out there by far are:
ESCO Corporation |
Ultralok(R) Tooth System
Available from:
Romac - Bucket Teeth | Side Cutters | Dozer Teeth Replacement
You will also want a grapple. A land plane is cool to have also, vs a box blade for road grading.

that looks nice. The links you provided do not work. It looks like from your picture you have a complete bolt on assembly, with the ultralok teeth?

I'd like to buy a complete assembly like you have, or maybe something like this WR long unit.

Tooth Bars TB, STB, and ITB

I wish my excavator bucket had these vs. the CAT tooth system.
ESCO Corporation |
Ultralok(R) Tooth System

I bought an extra bolt on bucket edge from Kubota and then had welded the tooth holders to my old edge.
No extra weight or thickness of a tooth bar and it is plenty rugged.

The CATs are a pain to change and the ESCO seem to wear better and stay sharp.
Then again, the Excavator is rougher on teeth that a loader bucket edge.

Hard to sell these (JD 110TLB) now that they are orphaned.

I'll never understand why JD let that section of the market just get away without even trying. Their 110 TLB was an inspired design - not without its flaws, but it is still a very nifty machine. It was very innovative, and IMHO the 110 is what led to Kubota's own successful TLB line. And I know for sure that our looking at the 110s in 2008 is what led us to Kubota and eventually to the M59. Otherwise I'd still be sticking with JD and NH and would have missed out on knowing just how good that Kuboas are. I miss the competition from the 110. Just hope that someone else comes along to challenge Kubota in the small TLB sector.

JD110 is in the fleet of the contractor enlarging the driveway at my workplace as I write this. Excavator just took out a 3' bull pine. I wonder why JD orphaned it also? I shopped it too back in 2005 when I got the L39.

The 110 backhoe is very effective... at least in my experience and the creep function to reposition is my marker that separates a true commercial TLB...

Yes of course I sure did! Thanks to the guys on this forum, I was able to do the research and all say it is a worthwhile upgrade. With that option comes many others like 16 GPM implement flow, hydraulic wet disc brakes instead of mechanical, limited slip diff, 540-E PTO.

I also ordered it with 3 remotes, Top-n-Tilt, 3rd function, Kubota Shockless Ride Accumulator , HD loader bucket with bolt on cutting edge, and a canopy. I went with R-4's, same price and they fill them for no extra cost.

No backhoe for your 7060?

Unfortunately no backhoe. I would think if I needed or wanted one, a dedicated machine like the M59 would be better??

How would you all judge the performance of a BH on a 7060?

Don't get me wrong, I love my backhoe but I would never try to put a bolt on one on my 70HP tractor. Not that it wouldn't work ok, but it would be a pain to put on and take off and would interfere with operation of your 3 PH. So every time you needed it, you would have to install it, then take it back off when you wanted to use the tractor for something else.

A dedicated back hoe is the only way to go if you truly need one and used is OK in that scenario.

In 12 years the BH on my TLB has never been off. I either used my smaller tractor or borrowed a tractor to do 3 pt Work. OK, I can be Lazy!

Another way to look at it is that older & used bare tractors - particularly Ag tractors - without cab, loader, or hoe are one of the few really affordable good deals in tractordom.
So having a second tractor to use as a dedicated 3ph machine can be surprisingly affordable. It just means having two toys instead of one...
