Some Jerk set fire to a local covered bridge

There is a similar, smaller covered bridge in our town. At great expense and effort, it was relocated there from out in the country. The exterior was painted white. How long do you think it took the graffiti hoodlums to use it for a canvas? Not long at all.

That's too bad. While there are quite a few old covered bridges here in pa there aren't enough to just go destroying them. It is really neat to look at those old bridges and see how they built them and how well they hold up.

This one was burned in 1992, and rebuilt. it still carries traffic.
