I'm with Danny. Love to ride in helicopters. Riding in a huey in the gunners chair (feet are dangling out the side), doors open is what got me wearing seatbelts. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

If you want a real interesting helicopter ride, be inside when the pilot doesn an autorotation (turn off all engines when at a few thousand feet then lands it). Generates a pretty intense pucker. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Brian; Never got to do the autorotate thing, but one thing our brothers in arms did to me, was to dive over the edge of The America with me in the gunners door. That tether didn't make me feel any better tho! Ofcourse I had the helmet and everything on. It seemed I made some rather nonmild expletives when the Jarhead pilot did that and those guys got a good laugh at an anchor clankers ignorance. You know, I never have forgiven those guys for that!! Now if I could have just swung that M60 a little more to left....... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If you swung the M60 a bit more to the left, you may be in for a landing a little worse than the autorotation. I think they put the swing limits on it just to avoid that exact situation.

I live near an airport that offers sky diving.
In the past couple yrs. they have had enough chute failures that the feds want to close them down !
