I just paid off my TC45D. What makes you think I would trade it in? I'd keep it for those times when I wanted to drive a tractor without those ugly lights. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

BTW: I am also glad we have the old style tail/flasher lights on the bottom of the ROPS. I figure the new lights would be right up in my trees' "strike zone" and they would get destroyed really quickly. For me, those lights are a much bigger issue than the front lights. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I was not aware you cou even have one configured on the fel like that, probably runs a good deal more than a 3 pt digger? Is that a NH attachment?

jinman included a link to the manufacturer of the hyd PHD in one of his posts. There are a number of companies who make them, Worksaver and Landpride being 2 others. The FEL in the picture looks like it's got a skid steer attachment plate on it, which is what the PHD connects to. That way the company simply makes a hyd PHD for skid steers and with a skid steer adapter plate, they can be used on tractors, too.

The front mounted hydraulic post hole diggers are great. I don't have one but have used one. You need to retain your curl to set the angle. On my TN I have a pair of hydraulic couplers on the loader frame in the front for just such attachments. It is nothing more than long lines from a rear remote quick connect. The biggest advantages of this type of PHD is down pressure and the ability to reverse the auger when it gets stuck with a rock or root. They are fairly pricey. Even thought I have a HD JD post hole digger if I am doing any number I usually rent one. Make sure you get the "low flow" model. And by the way, looking at the new and old Boomers side by side , I really don't think the new one is ugly... and if it is maybe it's just the ugly duckling that everyone will fall in love with /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Andy

Unfortunately we have one sitting in the yard at work, just begging to go home, even though it knows it is more tractor than I need.
