Deer are kinda funny about that. When we had our trees planted(about a thousand pines and a thousand hardwoods) they didn't eat a one of them. Then several years later, I planted about 20 fruit trees. They ate every one of those! That's OK. In a few years, when we move out there, I'll eat some of the deer to make up for it. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

( you should take aerial photos. It's fun to do that about every 5 to 10 years and watch the change in your progress. )

Some counties and other government jurisdictions buy satellite photos that you can access on the 'net. For instance, my county buys them to keep track of new construction for tax purposes, which is how I got a pic of my place (department of taxation!) from 1996.

Mark, those pictures are great if you can get them, but of course the difference is you have to take what someone else shoots and you have no control over the process. To demonstrate what I mean, attached is an overall shot of our little lake with my property on the right. ...kinda low detail on my stuff, but a good shot of the area.

Here's another shot I got by circling around and getting a better angle. My house is the green roof at the top above my two ponds and the edge of the lake at the bottom. Essentially, I got as many views as creativity and fuel held up in the airplane. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It's funny you mention the flying. I attended Embry Riddle in Daytona. Have my ATP. Was a flight instructor for 3 1/2 years. Flew charter and I got bored. Took computer classes and the rest is history.

Beautiful property. Should get plenty of seat time. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I also went to Embry-Riddle in Daytona. I only went for one year, 1980-81. That was the time that the Airlines were laying of pilots left and right. I didn't want to get into huge debt and not be able to get a job flying, so I left ER. I ended up going to UF and obtained my BS in Engineering. I often wonder how my life would be today if I stayed at Riddle.
