It is interesting ...... thanks for shareing !

I don't think I have ever seen NEW tractor with front leaf springs..... have seen a few old ones with them.

No doubt easy to work on. If you can get parts and it will serve your purpose...... get ya one !.

For what it's worth, ground clearance under the steering linkage on the first one looks like an accident just waiting to happen. Amd the exposed belt drives look quite dangerous on the second one. The third one just looks old and ugly. But for 836 Euros, it might just do what you want. But what is the final price after you get it home?

Final price, greg at 1st: I don´t think, that it would get much higher. Otherwise, You could be rigth, for 1100 Euro, it is not worth buying it.

If you mean the price for transportation: My wife is from Poland, and she has a small farm there. so a vistit to Poland would not be the biggest problem. We go to Pl 3-4 times a year, mostly with a 2 ton trailer hooked up, loaded with stuff for selling in Drezdenko county. At the way back home, the trailer always is empty. For sure: I don´t see any danger in the beltdrive.

the problem is the side PTO, so I need special attachments for working with it. But the price is indeed very intresting. I would need to know, if someone in Germany would buy this tractor for appr. 1800 $.
The leafspring suspension we know here, but only one leafspring above the frontaxle at some older tractors.

I am not in the hurry for buying a small tractor, so time will give me the advance to find the one I need.

Hi,
I tried to replay earlier, but my reply did not appear. Hope I will not be repeating myself...
Anyway, I have owned a Xingtai xt180 for 6 months now. They are imported in Finland small scale. From mid -90エs there are according to a news article I read about 100 of these in use presently here. The single cylinder model engine is, I believe, based on Lister diesel design with some deviations. The long stroked diesel gives a nightmarish torgue, much bigger than you expected by the rated hp. The engine is thermosiphon coolled, with fan and radiator, but without water pump. There is a flywheel magneto with 2 coils. The simpless of design makes maintenance cheap and simple. I have only seen 2 used tractors for sale, so the users supposedly are satisfied with the performance of their tractors.
The workmansip is coarse, but then again these only cost less than half the price of Jinma for example. For the one who likes to tinker a bit with his tractor these are fun to work with. Electric connectors are abysmal and PTO shaft lever required som attention to work properly. Nothing difficult though, only fun with the benefit that one learns more by doing.

Ok, I know that I have reanimatd an old thread, but I donエt know why I should make a new one.

In July 2008 I ordered a Xingtai XT 180 which has 20 hp Yanmar clone 2cyl Diesel, a tiller, a plow and a flailmower which arrived in Rotterdam in beginning Oct. 2008

as You can see, I picked it up there by my own.

What we got is this:

DSCK0019.jpg

It is very basic and we had to do a few refinements to get it work properly, but for a price of 2500 USD I have had it home and I have known before, that I donエt get a perfect machine. Remember a 16 hp Kubota 1610 is appr. 10000 ?, which is 14000 US$!

I have done a few jobs with it since then and I canエt complain about itエs performance. It pulled a stucked 1610 with trailer out of a mudhole up in forest, whitout any 4wd. Of course...the 1610 is a nice tractor, but not for european pulling devices. As far as you wonna plow, till or mow with it, itエs ok but pulling, no..not enough weight.

A minus is, that it has an awfull large turningradius and the handthrottle is hard to adjust.

Here is a pic with the tiller attached:

Bild000-1.jpg

It was cleaned up this day, cause we wanted to put it on an exhibition for showing it, but my idea, to offer it for sale in Germany died, cause it has no roadregsitration (this tractors are also used for transportation in china and the XT rans appr. 20 mph).

On the tiller, we had a broken driveshaft, but it was welded by our own and work without any problems, now. The mower is outperforming good, but we donエt have the work for it, we thought we could get. Anyways...itエs all paid.

The plow was delivered in wrong share/frame dimensions and the company kept quiet about a discount. We constructed a new one from an old horsplow, so we can turn the earth.

Now it is standing in the shed, allover full of mud from forest and waiting for a cleanunp and work. As soon as it is dry, I wonna test the Cultivator, Junior made from an old and larger one he got for free.

I must state, that it makes no fun to deal with chinese, they are away, as soon as problems appear. Donエt think the large importers (also the ones, which are around here) do have this problems, but as soon as you do only 1 Item you are alone in the rain. Buy it...and then leav me alone.

Mac, thanks for posting the pictures, they are interesting and I'd like to see more. I would like to see it operating the plow also. You know that we all like pictures. I'd like to hear more about the process of importing the machine, also where you're located.

Sorry but at the moment I didnエt have any pics, which are showing te Operation.

Importing process wasnエt that complicated as I ordered CIF Rotterdam. It was a Risk to send Money in Advance, but it worked out well.

The forwarder in Rotterdam/the Netherlands made me a lot of probs, casue they told me, they canエt do customs, when I pick up the Equipment by myself. So I spend a whole day to get the papers I need and arrived at the warehouse very late, missing another paper...but there I had no probs and got the crates loaded.

We are located in the Dueren County Rur-Eifel - Nature Experience - Home

Not far away from the border to the netherlands at Aachen

www.aachen.de - Current information

Itエs nearer to Rotterdam and the Northern Sea,appr. 3hrs ride by truck, then going to Hamburg.

Hey Mac,

thats right, but you can combine the pick up in Hamburg with a weekend trip to this beautiful City and visit the famous Reeperbahn :)

Best Regards
Nuno
