Re: Someone with a 4100 and 54\" front blade
Ok, first of all, if you want to move snow without a neck brace, get a front blade. Second, don't get the blade that John Deere offers for your tractor, it's to small. I have a 4115, and I know it's a little bigger than the 4100, but not by much. I purchased the front Quick Attach and 54" blade for my tractor only to find out how puny it really was. I ditched the 54" blade and had a friend fabricate a Meyer blade cut down to 66" onto my hydrolic unit. It is not Quick Attach anymore, but it does not take long to disconnect it. The blade is higher, wider, and more than twice as heavy. Even at full angle, it does not push my tractor to the side. I think your 4100 will handle something like that very well.
