When I talked to the agent and said the corn was 3+ foot high, he was doubtful it was cut worms. They normal go for the smaller crops. But once he got here and saw first hand, it was multiple types of worms and beetles. From my research Sevin takes care of all of them. From your pics, I'd say you got the same problem, I'd get some liquid Sevin.
Liquid sevin is good ... I use it in the entire garden ... it is not a one time application. I use my field sprayer with boomless nozzle and have learned because I spray 30' swath ... I leave a drive area so I don't damage the crop.
I watch and if I see anything ... even the dreaded potatoe bettle I SPRAY ... sometimes every 7- 10 days ... not that costly but it truly helps.
I also have a 25 gallon sprayer for my Gator and I spot spray when needed ... I also hit my wifes evergreens for "Bag Worms" Those devils will kill any type of evergreen.
