Spotted this ad from Trinity Fabricators and thought you guys might be interested. Slightly new twist on a grapple. Wonder how much though /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif.

What a monster! Do you see the size of that cylinder??!!

What's it for tlbuser? Moving timber?

Looks like you could latch on to a stump and yank it right out of the ground! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think that's for gathering water mellons. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

LOL... That would take some skill to do -- kinda like picking up eggs with Vise Grips...

My guess is for those huge pumpkins in Alaska. How else would one move them /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

How about for moving concrete or other large pipe sections around a worksite? I can think of several things that just needed to be lifted and moved. It doesn't look like it can lift high enough for stacking, but for moving individual pieces from one location to another quickly, it would certainly work. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Jim,

You may have something there. It doesn't look like it could stack very high. Those tracks would tear up a worksite pretty quick if not just moving back and forth. It would be an interesting tool on an excavator though. I could sure use it to move some big rocks out of my way while cutting in wood roads, then pick up the logs and stack them for blocking.

That is on the loader arms. It will lift over 10' high. The machine has less than 4 psi ground pressure.

Actually I have found that the tracked machines seem to tear up the ground less than the wheeled skidsteer.
I think this is beacuse the tracks spread out the weight of the machine more.

Of course on all skidsteers, if you do a hard 360 or 180 degree turn your going to do some damage.

Those tracks sure do make for some great traction!
