Something suspicious about King Kutter

I wondered why my KK rotary cutter didn't come with an owners manual....until I used it and found shredded paper blowing out....the manual was taped in a plastic bag under the deck where I didn't see it

Yeah, that's how I found my owner's manual too....thrown out the back of the tiller after a couple of hours use. It was not in pristine condition at that point. Nice of them to hide it under there. Oh well...I already had the Italian/Chinese version and also had consulted the electronic version on the KK website. I would have preferred the old-fashioned way---provide a manual in English attached to a place where the buyer would see it. But I'm old fashioned, I guess.

it probably is taped under there so when places set the equiptment outside its protected from the rain and is not a pile of mush that ran off the equiptment and is now sitting on the ground where it sat.

It is still interesting reading for me on this rainy morning.....and probably still applicable today. ...Especially the part about the OE manual being under the equipment. My LandPride tiller manual was in a cylinder bolted to the frame, which was okay........except that moisture had gotten in and formed red, yellow and black mold growth all over it. A phone call was all it took to get a new one.

my kk manual was under the mower too. luckily i found it when unloading from the trailer.

I found KK customer service to be top notch. About a week after using it I noticed a C ring missing from the pto shaft that would allow the shaft to slip off the input to the gearbox if the shear pin popped. It must have popped off, or was never there fromt he factory.. ?? who knows.

It was a special size depth that i couldn't make one from a kit fit good ( it fit, but not good ). The part was like 4$ from KK, I called them to order it and instead they sent it to me.. got it in 2 days free.

I still have that mower?15ys later and use it every week.

I purchased a 6' kk tiller 3 years ago, I custom till gardens probably 20 acres or more a season, on second set of blades, this machine is tough, i have tilled in rocks, hit just about everything in the grpund. good value for the money

Over 10 years of use on our 60" KKII and it's still going strong.
Every Spring I top up the gbx oil, give the brg & PTO joints a few squirts of grease, slip the clutch and back to work it goes.
Some of the outer tines are starting to get worn to the point of needing replacement.
Spent yesterday morning removing a few yards of old, rusty, barbed wire from the spool after tilling up a new plot.

my 5' king kutter is still going.. it's got to be 18ys old now. I check the oil and run it. blades get dressed as needed.

My 6 footer is around 15 years now, and going strong. I grease it regularly, but I'm ashamed to say I don't think I've checked the gear box oil more than 1 time. I have replaced the blades once but leave them dull and hammer-like for crushing trees.
