Something suspicious about King Kutter

I wondered why my KK rotary cutter didn't come with an owners manual....until I used it and found shredded paper blowing out....the manual was taped in a plastic bag under the deck where I didn't see it

Several years after moving into a new house, I found the manual that came with my heat pump. It was under the house somewhere near or on top of the heat pump. I don't know why it didn't occur to me to crawl under there and look for it in the first place.

My 6 footer is around 15 years now, and going strong. I grease it regularly, but I'm ashamed to say I don't think I've checked the gear box oil more than 1 time. I have replaced the blades once but leave them dull and hammer-like for crushing trees.

yup.. I don't sharpen mine past a 1/8" edge. i just dress any dents. That flat edge beats the woody/stemmy weeds and shatters them.. dries their stalks and kills them faster.

Okay, bought a Pittsburgh-Taylor aka Taylor Way 6'. They of course asked several times about the HP or my tractor (good job, so many don't). Had to adjust the PTO shaft (shorten). This thing is a beast. Tractor pulled it like it wasn't even there. Ridge dirt with gneiss rocks, and sedimentary deposits. Will need to raise the gate a bit, it is a little fluffier than I like.
