I have considered similar ideas, and it would be most useful. My only hesitation has been that in the extremely unlikely event of an accident involving the failure of the ROPS my widow would be refused payment by insurance companies because I had "modified" the ROPS - even drilling one extra hole is a modification to an insurance company wanting to refuse a claim.

I've drilled no holes at all. The lights are mounted with U bolts, as is the canopy. The brackets are just slid in at the folding point of the ROPS and secured with a bolt already in the ROPS.

Nice additions if you need them, but my winch came with a loop on each side for a chainsaw, a box on each side to put skidding chains in and an "L" bar on each side, to hang snatch blocks ect. on,

I do sometimes add other things on the upper protective screen too...

Winch builders know you will need those tools with you, and ALL winches should come with tool boxes and places to put other things!

I think they'd vibrate too much. I thought about it though. I agree that they would look good there.

Mine are fine out on the canopy. Front and back. :thumbsup:
