I should have know that buying two and three quarter ton of new tractor and hitching up my big rear blower would have scared all that snow away.... I apologize, sorry for messing up your winter fun. :)

I am in no hurry to install my snow caster,
the problem is having enough draft for my
wood and coal boiler to work without the
fire going out. all the clear air is nice but
at night its hard to keep a fire going.

I bet you will get your share of the white stuff. We just started early down here..Already had 8 inches, split between two times. More that all year most of the time? Did you say 2 and 3/4 tons tractor?

I was up in Houghton/Hancock over the week end, another kid out of college  You didn't scare the snow up this way.

Weird winter so far... We normally average 184" [ wait, let me go knock on some wood......OK ] and have got didily squat so far. We even have frost in the ground. Normally get snow earily enough that you can go out in February, dig down thru the snow, and still find soft dirt.

Yup, my 5035 HST is supposed to weight a little over 5400 pounds, loader is supposed to be 1400, and about the same for the hoe when that is on. Hard to say for sure, I have never weighed it... just going by what they tell me. Could all be sales pitch, who knows....

At the bottom of the specs page there is a pdf file with the weights....

I share you pain:laughing:

It took until late November to receive the blower I ordered in mid July. We had a couple of 6" snowfalls before that which I cleared with the blade. Then we had a measly 3" snow so I could at least try the blower. I'm glad the neighbours didn't see me using the blower on such a measly amount.

My testing showed me that I likely need chains for the R4 tires. I ordered them from a local builder a week ago. They called yesterday to say they're ready. So maybe the snow is holding off until I have everything I need. :)

I'm heading to Vernon to pick them up this afternoon. Vernon's forecast is 40% chance of flurries tonight/tomorrow and 60% the next day. Flurries?...Flurries!! That doesn't do it:(--we need snow.

But we're higher up and mid-way between Vernon and Salmon Arm. Salmon Arm's forecast is much better with periods of snow forecast for Wednesday. Yeah!!!!!

Here's hoping! My wish for snow drives my wife crazy. She's happy I got the blower and now the chains, she says that guarantees we won't get much snow. I've always liked lots of snow, even without the blower.

Cheers

Same here. Got a new Mahindra 4035 a week ago. Last year this time we had several feet on the ground (Got 150" last year, below average). We've only had about 10" so far this year, spread out over several "storms" and melted every time. Nothing significant in the forecast, either :(

Yup, i got my new cab tractor, loader mounted blower and plow plus 4 chained up tires..... and its all sitting unused at the present time. So much for some extra xmas $$$$ from plowing.
