How is the plow doing Dave?

As best I can figure from looking at it and puzzling over it, that is what I will be doing. The center disc will stay put, but the rim/tire will be swapped side for side, and bolted up to the outer tabs you see in the photo.

Thanks for the help guys. Surprised the manual didn't show it any better than it does...

I took the simple approach and had my dealer put mine to the widest position prior to delivery, but I agree, the manual could be better and you really have to look at the manual then go out and look at the tractor while holding the manual. The manual then makes some sense or at least mine did; guessing they are all the same.

The only hitch I have in this is that I am not sure how well it will fit on my trailer if I set it wider than it is. I suspect it will fit, but will be very tight requiring a lot of fussing to line it up perfectly... so I may end up swapping it back in the spring...

Plow seems to be working well. It is actually at a friend's house, so I have not used the plow. He is storing the tractor and attachments for me for the winter in exchange for using the plow. Win/win - but I have not gotten to use the plow myself yet... He says that in float mode it ends up lifting the front wheels after a bit and he loses steering. Could be that it is too much weight on the FEL (some others have done a chain supported blade that might be better in that regard - less weight floating). So he ends up just using it in regular (non-floating) mode. He quickly discovered the need for chains after an icy storm almost got him stuck at the bottom of his steep driveway. Thus the chains, and the clearance issue here.

Learning as we go, like most things...

I'd rather have a good idea of what I am doing before I start in on it.

Now you are in the 2nd setting at 51.2 inches... I wouldn't go to the last setting, (widest) unless you have a lot of clearance in gates and on trailers...
The 3rd setting should give you plenty of room for chains.. KennyV

Yeah it is a bit of a learning process like any new attachment.
