Spacing On Landscapr Rake Tines

/ Spacing On Landscapr Rake Tines #11
What I would like to find is a rake with tines that are narrow in the direction of travel and wide perpendicular to the direction of travel. Every time I use my landscape rake it seems like I'm just using a blade since I end up raking mostly dirt, not debris and rock.

Rick, what's the space between tines? Maybe you are using it in too wet of conditions.

FWIW, I seldom have to get off the tractor to clean tines. It's another of the reasons I love the hellouta my hydraulic toplink. When the tines need cleaning, I simply extend the HTL about a foot and put the tractor in reverse. Soon as I lower the rake to the ground and back up six feet or so, whatever's stuck in the tines usually comes right out. All I gotta do then is pull shorten the HTL backup and resume forward motion. The rake then picks up what it just shed, and away I go for another pass

That is in perfectly dry conditions.
If you were addressing my post about clearing the tines in reverse, no. That's in ALL conditions. Believe me, I've used this rake at one time or another during all four seasons of the year. The HTL in reverse trick has even cleared them of that sticky/slimy mess of sludge and roots that the backhoe periodically digs outa my ponds.
