Maybe I’m mean when I get irritated but once a human comes on I will say, “Lady, you really need to get a job you and your family can be proud of.” This hits them personally.

It only backfired once. That woman called back cussing about she was just trying to make ends meet, that she hates the job but she was doing what she had to.

Yeah, I used to do that to them too. Tried to shame them into hanging up, but they have literally "heard it all". I think their skin is as thick as Rhino hide.

Pretty sure the same "lady" called me today from the "power company." It was on my cell phone, we get almost NO calls on the landline. I have blocked a bunch of numbers, but yesterday, it was possible someone would be calling me from an unknown number, so I answered. I answered today just for grins and giggles. She hung up pretty quick.

She got what she wanted -> a number that was answered by a human. Those numbers are sold to other scammers regardless of the content.

You have to do it in your Magic Jack account, it痴 been a year or so since I did it so I can稚 remember exactly but it works.

Thanks. I logged into my account for the first time in forever, and it is called Automated Call Screening. I turned it on and will see if it stops unwanted robo calls.
