Sadly it seems like a lot of welders like to hit the sauce.

I remember my Dad telling stories of the pipe line welders when they built the Hetch Hetchy pipe line. He said some of the welders couldn't weld a lick until they had a couple drinks in them.

Yea, unfortunately the bean counters in some mfg plants must treat welders as just overhead and a dime a dozen......I've seen lots of awful welds pawned off to the public....:thumbdown:

Myself being a stick/tig welder mainly.... bubble gum can be a good description....(but sometimes I go over to the dark side:laughing
