Can anyone tell me how many speeds the 35hp 4wd Jinma tractor has? Some dealers say 8 and no creeper available. Others state 12 including the creeper. The factory info states 8 but so far I find it very unreliable. Do the new "EPA" models include a creeper as an option? Is it suitable for tilling without the creeper speeds? Thanks for your help!

I Just put my JM 354 EPA tractor together.
It has 4 speeds, reverse and 2 ranges H and L
No creeper gear was available. So far it is a really nice and
well built machine. I amtrying to figure out how to mount the
front end loader.

The 300 series Jinma has a 4 speed primary transmission. So
with a High/Low range it's 2X4=8 speeds. If a creeper was available, which it isn't, so far it would be 4X2X2 or 16 speeds.
A creeper is available with the 400 series. I carry the 16 speed
454's. The 200 series has a 3 speed primary transmission so it's
3X2X2=12 if a creeper is installed. You get a choice with the
200 series of either a creeper or shuttle shift but not both.

Thanks! I guess not all dealers know what they are selling.....

Is the creeper speed really needed for tilling? I don't plan on doing a lot of it, but want to make sure I can.

Could be, I'm not sure how you would get to 12 unless you had three ranges... by the way, KAMA has 4x2 with shuttle and 16 with creeper in both the 25HP and 35HP, (same chassis).

It is my feeling that most Chinese tractors are a little fast for rototilling without creeper. Sort of like trying to till with an 8n ford, just not geared for it...
