Spencer\'s FEL adapter for 3pt attachments

Spence - I'm trying to get caught up on this subject. After reading all the threads, I think I have the picture now. Apparently, in order to mount 3pt attachments to the FEL, such as a boom pole or a grader blade, you had to get 2 adapters, the Kasco Uni-Hitch and the Kasco Switch-Hitch.

Does anyone know of a single adapter that could be put on in place of the bucket to allow 3pt attachments to go on a FEL?

Re: Spencer\'s FEL adapter for 3pt attachments

I built my own using a Speeco quik hitch
and a pc of 3/8 plate that I welded the top
and bottom straps on for the loader mount.
Then on face welded 2 1 1/4" thick plates w/
7/8" holes to pin 3 PT QT on for the bottom.
2 tabs w/ 3/4" holes at top hold the top
link ( 1" strap w/ multiple 3/4" holes to adjust
pitch w/).
Deere has one that goes on SSL (110 also)
it is a VERY simple design.

Re: Spencer\'s FEL adapter for 3pt attachments

Mosey, Yes I do have two adapters in order to do all that. The most important thing is to start out with the Uni-Hitch right from the start. If you decide to get a front end loader make sure you get a skid steer type adapter (like the Uni-Hitch) right then. It only cost me $50 more to get a heavy duty skid steer type bucket versus the standard duty pin type bucket that is standard on the NH 7308 loader. If you wait and want to switch later you are stuck with a pin type bucket that you have no use for or that you have to convert over to a skid steer type system. I think it cost me around $425 to add the Kasco Uni-Hitch to the 7308 loader. There are probably a few other manufacturers and you may find one cheaper. New Holland is coming out with a curved loader to replace the 7308 sometime soon. Maybe they will offer that with a New Holland brand skid steer adapter. Either way I would wait until the new curved loader comes out. They you could choose to get the curved style, or maybe get a great price on a remaining 7308 that the dealer will want to unload.
