So I only got three trusses set before it got dark. I had a buddy lined up to help today but had to cancel because I thought I might have to watch my beautiful 2 year old daughter while my wife went into work. She ended up not going to work so I just set these three by myself.
I sure have enjoyed your series of pictures and progress. I find myself looking daily for new posts.
Does that truss sitting outside on the ground go to the outside of the poles on the end?

Re: Spencer\'s Pole Barn Project
Spencer - How high are your walls? That "boom pole mounted on FEL" setup is sure handy! With all that leverage, do you have any trouble with the tractor balancing?
I just finished a pole barn, and I tied two trusses together with 2x4 "x" brace in the center and used notched 2x4's for spacers on cord and rafter and then hoisted them into place. bcs
Mosey, the walls on the main section will be 12 feet high after the concrete is poured. The walls on the 16' by 16' shop addition will be 10" higher than that. I agree the boom pole is extremely handy. I have not had any balancing issues at all with it.
