The concrete truck is parked in front of my lean-to in this picture. Luckily the crew I hired brought an extra section of chute so they could reach near the back of the barn without having to use a wheelbarrow.

As most of you know, I have done 95% of the work on this barn myself. I always planned on hiring out the concrete floors though. These five experienced guys were kept pretty busy. On top of needing to know what you are doing, it is also very physical work.

Here is a shot of the floor going in my lean-to where I park my tractor. This floor is two inches higher in the back and slopes down to the front. I don't ever plan on having a door on the lean-to and I didn't really want a drain in there.

Here are a few shots of the finished floors. I insisted on using 6 mil plastic as a vapor barrier. The use of a vapor barrier makes finishing off the floor a lot more difficult. It takes a lot longer for the bleed water to disappear because the concrete cannot dry from the bottom.

Here is one more shot of the finished floor for the shop. The crew leader is coming back tomorrow to spray on the sealer with his airless paint sprayer. He will come back again on Monday to cut in the control joints.
