spent day spraying field and property

Yesterday we had a nice sunny day and only a few hours of work to do with my real job, so i (or was it the wife) decided to spray the horse pasture and all the other grass areas with Hi-dep. Stinking Knappweed .

I took the loader off to cut down on the noise. Must say, its sure nice to be enclosed in glass and a/c when spraying... and listening to the radio.

I also noticed that the tractor now has 392 hours on it. since the loaders off, todays chore is the 400 hour maintenance.

ho hum...... guess ill have to drive it into the shop, crank up the stereo and work on the tractor today. At least then the wife cant load me down with other chores. ill have to tell her..."Cant do that honey, im working on the tractor". I wonder how long i could drag this out. Cleaning and waxing it will also take some time HA

One recommendation from my recent DIY 400 hour service: put a big piece of cardboard under the tractor and use it to slide in and out. Much better than sliding on dirt or concrete.

Yep, I learned that trick from my dad when I was a kid and have done it ever since. Not only keeps you cleaner, but keeps the floor cleaner as well.
