Short of using 100 gallons of Brasso, does anyone have a good ideas on how to keep a brand new Kubota looking inspection sharp?
I take delivery tomorrow at 11:15. in Oregon.
I will work this unit hard to the bone (on rare ocassions) then pressure wash it and park it in a garage, err, pole barn. It has a door and window but dirt floor.
I don't want to detail it every night but I do like to watch baseball and polish the tractor...
Any fun ideas or tips?
Thank you!

Thank you for the input. I'll buy Turtle Wax!

I just received my new L3010HST. I noticed it drags a little on my hills, but they are on a very steep grade. I would like to have some additional power, but I am sure I would have to be in the 35 HP range (PTO) to really make much impact. This is really all the tractor I need and far more then I can justify!
In the meantime, I am in no hurry when I am on the tractor anyway. I want relaxation.
If I want to get brutal I can use the HD bucket and move rock from point "A" to point "B" -just for the heck of it. This tractor, with R-4s is set up perfect for that application.
Unfortunately, after the first 1/2 hour of operation a valve in the hydraulic arm started to leak oil. The service manager will be by in a half hour to fix the problem.
Great dealer! I strongly recommend Oregon Vineyard Supply-they really have been great so far. I signed all the papers with the president of the company (and this is a fairly large operation) on my way to work. He met me for breakfast because I could not make it to his business.
This should be fun. I really like Kubota. And this comes from a very die hard Deere fan(I still like them as well!)

Kubota came out 1 hour later-fixed everything-answered all my stupid questions, and gave me a free gallon of hydo oil.
I am very satisfied with Kubota-to say the least!

Any good wax will do for starters. One nice thing about the Grande-L series is those side panels come off. Much to the Wife's dismay, I'll bring them inside at the end of the day and wax them while watching the evening news. If I could drag larger parts inside without scratching the floor I'd probably do them as well.

Pete, I have this visual of you sitting in the easy chair, the wood stove blazing, a glass of champagne bubbling away and a disassembled tractor laying all over the floor sparkling./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Will there be space in the living room when you get the backhoe?

Well, you have the part about the sparkling right, but with five dogs and four cats nothing is safe on the floor!

Hey Pete,

I have 3 cats, an obnoxious Yellow Lab, a wife addicted to organic gardening, and a 9-year old son who is pretty cool.

I also have a 28 X 34 garage set up just for cleaning the front hood panels!

Outstanding idea!

Thanks,

Bob

Heres an idea for you. I have in the past sprayed "PAM" anti- stick cooking oil on my snow shovel so snow wouldn't stick to it. Now here is the part that will help you. The dog absolutely loved that snow shovel /w3tcompact/icons/love.gif, it was a real pain trying to shovel snow with a German Sheppard licking the shovel /w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif. Spray "Pam" on your tractor!!!!! Now with five dogs that tractor will be licked clean as a whistle /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif. I don't know if cats will cooperate, but I have an idea for them. Wax up your panels then put a catnip mouse on a string and tease your kitties on the panels. Them panels will be buffed up and shining like a new quarter in a mud hole /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif. Shoot this might work so good that you could become a tractor detail expert. Think franchise, maybe buy a second tractor! Hey I'm not crazy, just mildly insane /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif!
