I agree Pete. Get after them. That's just not right. What a bunch of scum bags. You never leave a team member behind. Ever ! Poor form. The whole thing makes me sad. Especially that apparently others are raising their kids to think this sort of crud is good sport and fun. I say give em both barrels and don't look back ! Dave

Now there's a safe topic! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif It's warming up considerably. Only minus 12 this morning, 18 degrees warmer than yesterday. And a heat wave due this weekend -- upper teens to mid-twenties above! Time to finish the outside of that shop!

As for the newspaper thing...it just so happens my wife writes for the local paper and has a column due next week! Best of all, when riled she writes in Technicolor! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Good job. My two cents are to gvie the University time to react
to your letters. When you get the form letter thanking you for
bringing the situation to their attention blah blah blah. THEN
call the newspapers and tv stations.....

Before the holidays somebody shot my wifes car with a high
power pellet rifle. She had just picked up our two children from
day care and if the pellet had hit six inches up and six inches
forward it would have hit the window next to my oldest kid
and then hit her.

I was NOT happy to say the lease. We called the POlice. I
had pulled out a 5 power lupe to study that deep dent in the
door trying as best I could to convince my self that it was just
a dent from a rock. But it was a pellet.

When the officer arrived she told me a couple of things. That
this was the fourth report she has taken on cars being hit and
that the department was taking reports from all over town. I
think she mention 30-40 incidents. NOW, one would think that
30-40 cars and stores being shot up would be news but in the
city I live in crime just is not disucussed since it would hurt
the city's image. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

So we called a TV station. Within hours they had a crew out
to meet my wife at the police station so they could talk to her
as well as the Chief Of POlice. Turns out the city has over 200
incidents. Now the city I work in has its crime reported on
a daily basis.... Hmmmmm. But 200 windows and cars shot
up and no reports on the news.... Another TV station wanted to
talk to my wife but she was not able to fit in a time. The TV
stations where very hot on this for a couple of days.

Now I don't know if the report had any impact at all. We just
had a kid shot in the eye with a paintball while he was standing
on a corner trying to cross a street. They got the kids who shot
the boy. It looks like the boy will loose vision in his eye. But
at least we made people aware of what was going on ...

If the school does not move let the media hound them. A man
almost died because of this.... The coach and team should be
held accountable....
