I have a 50 gallon sprayer. I know they make chemicals for cleaning the tanks between pesticides but most of what I find is small quantities for smaller sprayers. I thought about using Dawn dishwashing soap.

Was just curious if you flush with anything besides clean water or if you use a cleaner and if so what and where did you get it?

Thanks!

I use Nutra-Sol. You can get it at TSC. It's granular and low foaming so you can measure out what you need, big or small tank. I use it in my backpack sprayer (Solo) and my 300 gallon ag sprayer too.

Don't use dishwash soap. One, it won't nutralize the compound you sprayed and two, it will suds and suds and suds...

I use my sprayer to apply glyphosate (non-selective) and Crossbow (broadleaf) herbicides.

After spraying, I flush three times:
1. clear water
2. water with liquid dish detergent (store-brand:))
3. clear water.

To date, I have not killed any grass when I have sprayed Crossbow after previously using glyphosate in the sprayer. My experience might not be applicable to other pesticides.
