Spraying for flies

( rescue may be a plan. "The flies" I am most concerned with are tiny little gnat type. They swarm around you like crazy. The local people tell me I will get used to them but I don't think so. Do you know if products like rescue work on the little pests?

Put up several bat houses. Bats can eat an astounding quantity of insects every night. According to this website, a bat can eat 1200 mosquitos in an single hour. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I live in a very sandy area and we have "sand flies" I think they are the same as gnats. They can be very bothersome and sometimes bite my ears. I've lived with them for years. This year something crazy has happened, there are dragonflies everywhere, I mean TONS and TONS of dragonflies. My gnat problem has been non existant because of it. Now, I'm not sure how one goes about populating your area with dragonflies, but if you can figure out a way you're in business!

Man, those dragonflies are expensive! Next time I peel 1 off my windshield, I will try to resucitate it if possible.

I've noticed an abundance of dragonflies around my horse barn this year... can't figure out why. Have also heard that Martins also eat a ton of flies... you can find martin houses at pretty much any hardware store. Have been told they have to be high and out in the open which is why there is a pole kit to put the house on. Also have fireflies like crazy but consider this cool.... takes me back to when I was a kid. My wife and I sit out on the front porch with all the lights off to watch them.... you know, kinda like watching the grass grow.. it's great to be country! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have no idea since we don't have those down here in TEXAS, but, if they go for meat or if they bother you during a picnic by landing on your food, then yes, Rescue might help. Are those what are called "no-see-ums"?
