It use to have livestock in it so the dirt is hard packed. How thick of a layer of gravel would you guys recommend? The man selling me the gravel suggested a 3" thick layer there.

Lee, are you saying you will never put livestock in the barn again? It seems to me that crushed stone would be really hard on livestock or horses hooves. I wouldn't put it anywhere you'd have hooved animals. I'm no expert for sure, but that's what I thought about when I read you were going to put gravel inside the barn. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
